A couple really good friends of mine, Tasha & Melissa, have started a
new adventure in their lives.
They have started a Party planning business called Novelty Event Planners.

Tasha & Melissa have a passion and a talent for a well planned, uniquely designed event. They pride themselves on their attention to detail and creativity. They work with YOUR budget to create the event or party you have been dreaming of!

I had the opportunity to capture Tasha's son's 1st Birthday party.
All of the kids seemed to have a blast.

The photo session that I blog about today is really a special one. A friend of about 20 years had her baby about 3 weeks ago and I was so blessed to have the honor in taking her son's newborn portraits. It was such a special moment, with a special family, with a special little boy. Her story is below and how God blessed them with a precious son.

When our beloved son was born last month, my husband and I felt like the luckiest and most fortunate couple on this planet. Having tried to conceive for years with no luck, we finally placed our hearts in the hands of an amazing fertility specialist, whom we now characterize as an ‘angel walking this earth.’ After our first round of in vitro fertilization and all the prayers, fears, tears, injections, ultrasounds, surgery and medicine that accompany the process, we were blessed to receive the life changing news that we had long awaited – WE were PREGNANT! After the most beautiful nine months of pregnancy, our precious William Atlas was born on September 10, 2010 at 10:11p.m. and weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces and was 20 ½ inches long. I will never forget the look of irresistible adoration on my husband’s face when he gazed into William’s eyes for the first time, which provoked an instantaneous reflection on the past year and I am eternally grateful to him for all of his patience, Kleenex-providing, support, encouragement and unconditional love.

Bursting with pride and wanting to share our joy with the world, I could think of no better photographer to capture our emotions than Erica, a friend of over twenty years. Erica’s attention to detail and passion for photography is palpable and we will forever remember our newborn photo shoot experience with her in our son’s nursery while my husband and I hugged tightly as she photographed our little prince. When I received the phone call from Zach to capture him proposing to his girl friend, I was elated to be part of this special moment in their lives.
Zach and I planned and plotted for a couple days about how and when
he was going to propose the beautiful Jessica.

The beach. The sunset. The ring. The question.

As I hung around Balboa Beach pier I had to capture the beautiful day!

The plan was for them to eat dinner at Ruby's Diner and then they'd walk onto the beach into the sunset and propose by the pier.

I was hiding on the pier. She had no idea I was there.

It took a little convincing to get her to go onto the beach.
She didn't want to get her feet dirty ; )

Everything went just as planned. It was so special. As I was behind the camera, my heart was pounding and I was getting nervous for him and excited for her at the same time .

Sunflowers & Champagne

I was so thrilled when Dana and David hired me to be there wedding photographer.
They are such an adorable couple.
Dana is an old High School friend of my husband ( James).

This past weekend I was privileged to attend her beautiful bridal shower that was hosted by her close family and friends. Everything was amazing, food and decorations. I can't wait to photograph their wedding.

Pregnancy is a beautiful thing. I enjoyed being pregnant myself and it makes me so happy to see that other enjoy it as well. Leslie and Armando are such a sweet couple. They are expecting their baby boy, Armando Santiago is due to arrive in the middle of June. Keep your eyes peeled for the newborn pics coming shortly after. Congratulations to you both. ; )

I met Amy through a mutual friend of mine. Last weekend we met to do their Engagement session. The weather in Laguna Beach, CA was perfect and we had a great time walking around the grounds of downtown. Amy & Bill are getting married in November, 2010. Congrats!

Unplanned Photo sessions are Awesome!

In the post below I mentioned that I did a Photo session of an old friend of mine. She brought her daughter, Alura, with her to keep us company during the shoot. While Jasmine was doing her outfit changes I decided to snap some shots of Alura. She is so adorable ! She had no problem posing at all. Maybe it's better not to plan a photo session with kids.. just bring them along .. they seem to have so much more fun!

Mandy & Eddie

I met with Mandy and one of her bridesmaids months back and after meeting with
her I was so excited that she booked me to photograph her wedding.
She is the sweetest girl and so happy to get married.
A couple weeks ago I shot Mandy & Eddie's engagement photos.
They are both race dragsters and Eddie loves cars.
A close friend of theirs let them use his 62 Chevy Nova.
We found a cozy little spot and started shooting away.
I had so much fun with them and can't wait to photograph their wedding!
They will say their "I DO's" on November 21, 2009.

The Art of Assiting

A few months back I assisted my fellow photographer Kendra with Kendra Weddings. We met through another fellow photographer and have been working together since. Even though I have my own photography business I had a great time being the assistant. I was super excited when Kendra told me that I got to photograph the bride. I LOVE photographing the bride and her fun details of the day of all my weddings, so I definitely had a blast with this bride.

When I met them I knew that I would have a blast with them.
Yesterday I took their engagement photos and we had a really good time.
The weather was perfect!

I photographed Meagan & Rob's wedding last year in May. Now it's a year later and they are pregnant with their first baby girl! I was given the privilege to photograph yet another special time in their lives.

A couple months ago I received and email from one of my sister's friends from high school . Her daughter was turning 4 and she wanted to hire me to be the photographer of the "Princess Tea House" party she had planned. Brandee is over seas working fro the military and couldn't be there for the b-day party so of course I was thrilled to capture thie special moment in Madisyn's life. I wanted to make Brandee feel as if she didn't skip a beat!
It was a day filled with freinds and family, dress ups, make up , hair dos, high heels
food and birthday cake.
What more can a princess ask on her birthday?

I met Rick & Arlene from an other couple that we met on our Honeymoon cruise. Rick's parents, Robin & Dan contacted me shortly after we come back from our cruise to let us know that Rick was going to propose! When I met them they were so sweet and such a cute couple. Sweetest Couple!

Josh & Melissa contacted me after meeting me at a Bridal Show I did in October, 2008.
I am so honored to be the photographer for their wedding! They are one of the sweetest couples that I know. Josh asked me to also take the photos of him proposing to Melissa.

I have known Nick since I was 15 years old and as we grew up we had such a great freindship. He is such a great guy and met an amazing woman to be his wife! Double the Excitment!

Wow, it sure has been a long time since I've posted a blog. I have been exteremly busy but I think after hearing my hubby &brother bugging me about update, that it is time to JUST DO IT! A few weeks ago I did a double maternity session. Elizabeth & Christina are sisters who are pregnant at the same! About 2 weeks apart! They are both having BOYS!!They are so cute! Their great friend Meagan bought them a photo session as a shower gift ! We had such a great time. The husbands all came and enjoyed their guy time as us girls enjoyed the conversation of being pregnant and the joys of being a mommy! Enjoy!

Elizabeth & Jimmie have been married for 2 years. This is their first child and they are also very excited to have their first Baby boy!

Christina & Joe have been married for 4 years now. They have a 2 1/2 yr old daughter named Sophia. They are all excited to have a little boy!

Meagan & her husband, Rob, are hoping to add a child to their family soon too!

Hopefully soon I'll be doing the photo session of her! ; )

Trash the Dress!

Trash the Dress, you say?
It's exactly what it sounds like -- following the Wedding day, the bride straps on that gorgeous dress once again for a final farewell photo to the gown she spent a fortune to wear for one day only. Only instead of posing in some predictably idyllic setting, the picture is shot in a scroungy back alley, lying along the wet sandy beachs or a mossy lake.

You will be able to stilil get your dress cleaned, no worries!!

Brittany, her mom ,a family friend and I head out to Newport Beach. We had such a great time walking around the streets of Balboa. Brittany got compliments and congrats along the way. She even got asked to be in a picture with 3 other teenage kids on the boardwalk! It was great. Here is one set of the many photos taken. I have the dirty alley and lying on beach shots too! More to come after I come back from vacation this weekend!

Cruise Buddies!!!!!

My husband & I met Matt and Nicole on our Honeymoon to the Mexican Riviera! We hit it off within the first 3 hours of getting on the cruise! Matt proposed to Nicole on the 3rd day of our cruise on the beaches of Acapulco! It was so exciting. He told us the day before and couldn't wait to see her reaction! She was very excited! Since then, we have kept in touch and they were both able to come here from Arizona last week while Matt was here for business.

There wedding is in November. Cant Wait!!!!

Roxy Victoria- Precious Little Girl.

On July 4, 2008, Roxy Victoria was born. The Lord took her home on July 7, 2008. We had the funeral service on July 14th at Calvary Chapel Chino Hills and it was such an amazing service. Thank you all so much for praying for my sister, Stephanie and my family. We couldn't have done a lot without you. We can't wait to see again Roxy Victoria. Auntie Loves You!

James & I got married on April 12, 2008 @ our church Pomona First Baptist in Pomona. It was such an amazing ceremony ! We just got the video the other day and watching it made me cry all over again! They did such an amazing job. Our Reception was held @ my family's winery called Pierre Biane Winery in Rancho Cucamonga. I have to say that was the BEST reception I've ever been to! Ok Ok I may be be a little bias but it was amazing!!! We can't thank everybody enough who was involved in making our day The Best Day of Our Life! Thank you from the bottom our Hearts for all your hard work!!
